Hello there! Blistering Records and Bloodbound, yes, that's us, are making the track 'Take One (http://www.urbanbreed.com/storage/bloodbound-03-Take_One.mp3)' available to the public as an example of what you might expect on 'Tabula Rasa'.

Download it!
Crank up the volume!
Put it on repeat and go crazy! :p

Yes, we are playing that song on the tour so you'd better be familiar with it by the time we come to town. You are required to sing along.

For those that missed the link further up in the first paragraph, here it is again: 'Take One (http://www.urbanbreed.com/storage/bloodbound-03-Take_One.mp3)'

Boah, wow, thank you guys for this sample!!!

First impression after the first run: sounds a little unexpected, heavier than I thought it would sound...

after the second run: wow, that's a great rythmic riff and an amazing hookline in the chorus... and the drummer must be quite capable ;)

after the third run (reading the lyrics while listening): even better!!!

No worries, until your show in Vienna I'll be able to sing along the whole song! :)

So once again, THANK YOU for this amazing song!!!

For now: I'm loving it! It's starting the fifth time now...

every day's another day
another chance to live this game

Good, then you can mouth the words to remind me when I forget. ;)

Actually, I don't think I will, but a backup plan is never a bad idea, right?

Heehee... I'll try my best to help you out in case it's needed :p First... capture the middle part of the first row. Second... sing and shout as loud as I can, all night long. That'll work for sure.

Hmm, I don't really like it. The classic rock-esque verse is weird and far from melodic. The chorus sounds to me like some new power-commerce band's one. It is not something which is able to touch me in any way the first time.
I think that this song requires many listens and it changes over time.

The more I listen to it, the better it sounds, although the a.m. negatives are still present in some way.

The prechorus, however, is absolutely great and amazing. "..what if it is all a lie..." It's something I can sing all day long. It is the same with the solo and the final part - it is moving there. I like it.

Anyway, verses are getting more interesting with more listens. But the chorus remains shallow to me.

Oh, I forgot to say something about the music! :D :D The riffs are superb. I like them riffies! Sounds like Valley's Eve. Tad-da -tad-da

EDIT: wait! the chorus is starting to sound intriguing. What the heck? This songs evolves!

That's what I like to see. Honesty. Give us the bad with the good and the good with the bad.

If you think the chorus is "commercial", haha, you should hear my monitor mix.
One of these days I may just upload something like that. :)

Hmm, at the moment, the song still sounds like a commercial effort and in some way like something that has come from great musicians but a liitle forced.

However, I say however, it is totally entartaining to me - I have sung it all day now, I dance, I jump, It is absolutely catchy and dynamic.

It is like some modern melodeath - metalcore - you don't like the style but you totally like the music.

It is something like this.

And hey, sometimes trends are not so bad - i.e. I am gonna have a Mercedes next week and until now I have had Opel.

But I prefer Tad Morose and more un-commercial stuff after all.

"...take three, the comfort zone..."

I've already listened to "Take One" on your MySpace-Profile. :D

I like the riff directly after the "heartbeat-intro", even though it reminds me a bit of old Hammerfall.

But the song is very catchy and much harder than I thought it would be. I really like it.

What if it's all a lie?
All just a waste of time?
All things considered
Would this really turn
and not turn for the worse?

Hmm, that's a good question. Everybody should ask him/herself that, once in a while.

You could try to make it to one of the shows. We will carry "Tabula Rasa"... (Yes, we've already packed 'em.)

More Urban in the mix!!! Hehe... I like comments like that! :)
More hints about the lyrics? Did I give a hint earlier or did someone else?
They are posted on the website if you have a hard time hearing what I mumble. If there is anything else I'm sure you will get lots of suggestions from the intelligent hoarde that hang around these parts. Do you want to hear it directly from me? Come see the show and talk to me afterwards. I may be persuaded to tell you a little something here as well but only after everyone has had a chance to interpret them on their own. (Some time after the US release.)

Every day's another day
Another chance to live this game
And every day's like every day
Another chance to play
Another time's the time to fly
Another line for you to try
And when the time is right
it's still a guessing game

Every day's another lie
Another chance to lose this game
And every day's like doom
Another chance to die
Another time's to cry
Another line to pass
And when the time is right
Go and fight, fight for right!

Oryginal
Take one
Save us time
Let it run, let it run, let it run
Take two
It's a minefield I swear
Take three
The comfort zone
Take four
Turn every stone
Take one
Hand it out once more

Take one
Save us from lie
Let it run, let it gone, let it be done
Take two
Dont listen them, make your own way to live
Take three
The plagued zone, more zombies will income
Take four
Take your knife, learn to live, maaaaakkkkkeeee yoooouuuurrr paaarrraaadddiiissseeee (you know, long say short word).

It's only suggestion. Imo, oryginal lirycs are litle bit too candy, but music is okay.

oh, I have just doscivered a new band - Bloodbound.

TR has nothing in common with the other two efforts - it is unique, it is not Maiden-esque, it is powerful, it is serious as hell, it has such inspiring melodies that I'm starting to think BB have been asleep last few years.

I was so in love with Nosferatu - and now I doubt that I will play it again. I have TB and nothing else is needed.

Urban, as you promised me, it is special. I knew I can trust you.

Hell, what an album!

EDIT: oh, and this hellish album is mostly melodeath riffs! The Perfect combination!

I totaly got hooked on this one. It's maybe the best Bloodbound song, at least for me.

I can't edit my own post, so sorry for `two in a row` but anywayz. I was just wondering, does anyone else has a feeling that this song (Take One) has something to to with a game of Poker ? I mean I may be completely wrong, but fore some reason ... 'Take One, Hand it out once more' ...
Urban ???

I don't know but it surely resembles a friendly waffle situation - take one waffle, my friend! :p
