I've been a fan for several years now and just had the pleasure of meeting Urban Breed at ProgPower (thanks for pulling me aside, Vadim). Got home and thought I'd leave a message here.

Incidentally, I moved down to Buford, GA from the Chicago area a little over a year ago and finally made it to PP even though I didn't really go for the bands. I was more interested in the camaraderie and meeting up with people I've been friends with on the net for many years. I'll be checking in from time to time because I'm always interested in hearing what Mr. Breed will do next. Classic metal vocalists who raise the level of the band they front are a rarity.

Sounds like a very good and valid reason overall and in the case of Prog Power even more so. The mix of getting to meet so many amazingly friendly people and then even, like in your case, people you've known for years yet never got to meet in person and the opportunity to check out bands that might not play your city anytime soon ... it takes a very good reason to not go...
