Hej Urban!

Is it still you that will sing in Bloodbound this autumn? There are no news about a new singer, what I know. Bloodbound are booked up for the boat to Finland and in Ludwigsburg. As Pretty Maids and House of the Lords also plays I´m interested in going. But I´m not sure Bloodbound without you are interesting to watch ;-)

I have photos from both Alingsås and Göteborgskalaset, if you are interested!

All the best!
Mats

If I may be so bold as to answer while Urban is without Internet access at the moment, he is not planning on singing with Bloodbound on any more shows.

I'm sure he'll post a response soon, but wanted to let you know what I know if you're planning a trip.

But hey, I'm interested in any pictures you might have! If you have someplace they're up, I'm sure some others here would love to see them as well. :)

Shaye

P.S. Apparently, they have new members (incl. singer Kristian Andrén) and posted some news on their web site.

Shaye is right of course. :)

I've met Kristian and "Henke" and I think they're both very nice people.
Why not give the band the benefit of a doubt and go see them anyway? :)

Oh, pictures... that's right. Got to give the webmaster the thumbs up on installing that gallery section for all of us to use.
I would like to see some, yes...

I've been asked to comment on this Statement made by "Bloodbound":
Unfortunately there have been some rumours /snip/ ... /snip/They didn’t share the same vision and wanted to go in a different direction.

/bloodbound \m/ (Full quote with comments further down.)

It's no big deal really and I wouldn't have normally but since some of those "late members" does not really have a proper forum to explain themselves and clarify their position and why they decided to leave I'll make an exception and maybe at the same time satisfy those that take an interest in this matter. I think the best way to do this is to simply repeat the statement and insert my comments. Here we go... :)

Unfortunately there have been some rumours regarding how the money is divided in the band. Just to set the records straight, we share everything equally in the band.
Actually, this is a nice move. I would say clever, almost. :)
And this is probably all they see too, or at least that is what they claim and I have no reason to doubt that. Which actually haves them make a none too flattering statement about themselves. ;)
Assuming that, at the moment, nobody gets as much as a cent.
Then it does seem like a fair deal, right?
Lets see what happens next, shall we?
Because there is something missing in this equation.
That thing is future profit. There might be some, none or plenty.

Assuming things go well and the album sells like crazy.
When this happens Fredrik and Tomas gets nearly 100% of the winnings.
Poe, Markus and Pelle would get, oh, wait... nothing!

But then you say it's only fair, they didn't write, or even record the album.
Correct, and I agree, they shouldn't get anything from the album sales.
However, they did promote the album.
Would you as much as even consider paying for an advertising campaign for, lets say, Mc Donalds?
Not even if you really love the product!?!
Investments are to be made by the owners not by employees!

All the money goes straight into the band to cover touring, the stage show, pyrotechnics, merchandise etc.
And, of course, that's the only way to do it. That's what I told both Tomas and Fredrik when they asked. It would be a bit better if it was indeed a band and not a two man project with hired, (but unpaid), musicians.

At the moment we’re still not break even, so to think that we have a salary like Iron Maiden is flattering but it’s just not the case, we are actually using the money from our daytime jobs just to support the band.
Again, no other way to do it. It would be no problem if it wasn't for the fact that some would never see their investments pay off.

However it is true that some of the “late” band members
Would you consider yourself a band member if you were told that "Yes, you will be allowed to play on at least two songs on the album" or, "You will not be required to play any bass on the album", or "maybe you won't have to play the drums on the next album"? No? Not even if you would still have your name on the album saying that you did play? No?
(As a side note I would like to point out that Pelle is still in the band. He is, or at least was, a bit more optimistic about a change in the policy.)

towards the end wanted to take the money instead of using it to support the band and make it bigger and better.
It had precious little to do with anyone not wanting things to grow bigger or get better. It was more that they realized that they were working for free.
Would you go to work tomorrow if you didn't get paid?

They didn’t share the same vision and wanted to go in a different direction.
They didn't share the profit so they left. :) Good move guys!
