View Full Version : My own Bloodbound cd
Hello
I didn't want to offtop in other threads, so I created this one to share with you my personal happiness:
For half an hour I am a happy owner of the original Nosferatu cd :D (God bless my sister who lives in Sweden)
This was the most wanted album for me, although there are many I want badly :) Now I cannot wait to have Book of the Dead :D
Btw - Nosferatu is on at the moment I am writing it. It sounds so great, a lot better than mp3 I listened so far;) I think I have to turn the volume up :D

yeah, isn't it a great album?! Just looking forward to the third cd now...
Will the guys continue with the concept?
Personally I think that "nosferatu" is the best cd. It's simply because Urban sings, and it's more power metal than "Book of the dead...". But "book..." is also great=)
Indeed, 'Nosferatu' is the best, however in my opinion it is not due to Urban. I like Bormann's voice too. I think the reason is 'Nosferatu' includes an ultrahit.. 'Nosferatu':)
And yes, it is more power-metal, but only a little I guess;)
A couple days ago I bought 'Book of the dead' (at last) :D
And don't kill me, guys, I really wasn't aware there is a bonus track included - I was so much surprised :)

I'm the one who was asking for Book of the Dead lyrics, some one and a half year ago... and Fredrik said I should check in the booklet... :) Then I got really sad because there were no Bloodbound CDs in my country at that time, and I still can't find them anywhere (and I don't order from the Internet). But I hope there will be some merchandise stuff at the concert, so finally I can buy them.
(Hmm, okay, so it's a question. Will I be able to buy CDs/T-shirts/other stuff after the show? :D)

Will I be able to buy CDs/T-shirts/other stuff after the show? :D)
The answer is:
We don't have enough information to give you a definite answer.
We have little choice in the matter. If we don't, we run a deficit and won't be able to continue.
So to answer your question anyway, yes, we'll bring stuff for you to buy, including, *gasp*, CD's. ;)
In case we've run out of 'Book of the Dead' by the time we meet I shall bring a personal copy as a backup. Ok?

I tried to hunt down the albums, but I still can't find them anywhere (okay, on the Internet, but I don't want to order from it) in my country. I just wanted to ask: will I be able to buy CDs/T-shirts/other stuff at the concert? (Sorry to bother you with all my stupid questions...)

there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers - like mine for example
Urban once said that the new album will be available at the shows, so I guess you might get the other two as well...
By the way, I orded my copy of Nosferatu online as I could not find a bloodbound-album anywhere in Vienna... same goes for Tad Morose and Pyramaze (Urban's other bands - past and present)... hope that will change some time! :)

Since the European release date is set to happen after these tourdates, coming to the show should be the only way to get "Tabula Rasa" at this time. (Other than buying import from Japan.)
So to be absolutely clear: Come to the show, buy a copy or five.
Maybe even get them signed?
And since it's so cold this time of the year we know you will need at least three layers of Bloodbound T-shirts too, right? :p
I haven't looked into how many, if any, copies of the older albums we're bringing. If we have 'em, we bring 'em.

Humm, about the review. I think I will wait with a full review until other people have a copy too, so that we can discuss the album together. How does that sound? But if I should say something about TB it would be that I absolutly looove it!!! I listen to it atleast once a day:) My favorite songs at the moment are: "Sweet dreams of madness" (very catchy chorus) and "Night touches you" (a song were Urbans voice gives me goose bumps). Enough said!!

You lucky bastard. :D Just kidding, of course.
I've purchased Tabula Rasa in yesterday's Belgrade gig, and listened to it already twice. It's a great album, although I'll have to give it a few more spins. My first impression is that Bloodbound sounds a bit more modern now, the album is not as oldschool as Nosferatu. I still really like the sound, though. Favorites for now are All rights reserved, Sweet dreams of madness, the title track, and Take one (that I've heard before).

Same as my fellow friend above me, I bought the CD yesterday in Belgrade, and I listened to it 4 times already. It fucking rocks. Take One is best song so far, but the album is just great. And I like that code inside the booklet, I don't have time to decode it right now but I'll get to it :))))
Oh and definetely, next time we expect at least 60min of show :D

How cool that i have some friends in Japan)) I can't find words to discribe my feelings about that. I like it so much. Most of all 'Night touches You'. Hell yaeh, Urban I didn't recognize you on this song, amazing voice... why just one song like 'Night touches You' on this album?
Waiting for you guys in Russia somehow :D

Sometimes I amaze myself. Just a couple of hours ago I realised I could have gotten Tabula Rasa at the concert. And get it signed... And you actually said that on stage. I guess my head got too rattled and I wasn't thinking straight. Or wasn't thinking, period. For two whole days, even. Now that's when you know it was a good concert. Or that you're going mad.
Anyway, it sasys release date for Europe is Apr 26 so I guess I'll be getting my copy around then. And untill that happens, I shall not open this thread, lest I see a spoiler for this code/cipher thingy y'all talking about - I love that stuff :)

My husband bought Tabula Rasa at the gig and Urban signed it with pimp silver marker  /grin/
When we were driving to the concert we talked how bad it is that album will be released in Eur on some day of April after the concert in Zagreb and were quite annoyed because we won't get the chance to buy it before, but when we saw album on POS it was like : wiiihaaaa
The only thing I was a bit pissed about is the fact that I couldn't buy a proper T-shirt for me (fcourse my hubby bought one for himself) because they were only men and kids apparel - classic T's and I really need to have a proper female T because I'm build like darn female, right. So I consoled myself with Sabaton T, which is really great but has only one great flaw - it's not BloodBound T shirt... /bangin my had to a brick wall/
Both my H & I always buy T's on every gig we visit and I still cannot believe that I could't get BloodBound T af all the bands I saw. Gnah. Soooo keepin' my fingrz crossed for better female POS offer on next gig in Croatia or somewhere near us.
let me get back to the topic - I wandered away a bit
we have all BloodBound original albums but Tabula Rasa is the only signed. I swear I'll take Nosferatu and Book of the Dead with me on next concert. It's cool to have signed album

Wouldn't we all like to know...but not shure it's for the best to discuss it here. Anyway, whenever any band member helped out in the merch the sales increased instantly...and I don't think it was only because of "star rating".

Take One:
Unfortunately, if there is not enough space in the regular merch area, the support bands are the ones to get scuffed away in the dark corners of the world. Wich is a pity since those are the ones really depending on merch sales for survival...
Take Two:
Sometimes the support bands merch seem to get scuffed away even if there is enough room in the regular merch area. Go figure...
Take Three:
I guess it's way of the world...

We would've done better if we hadn't had to rely on the girl selling Sabaton's merch to also sell ours. The last show we had someone else selling and we did alot better.
In my honest opinion, positioning of your merch (at least in Croatia) was one of the weakest points of POS (girl was also selling your and Sabaton's merch together). The problem is that Sabatons' was nicely centered so when u came near u instantly saw their T's and stuff while Bloodbound's (mostly T's if I remember correctly) was on the right side (the wall) which was next to the entrance/exit so when you entered the place it was somewhere behind your back. It would be much better if it was on the left front side - considering spatial limitations - and also considering the fact it couldn't be/wasn't positioned in the middle. I deal with that left-right-center issue a lot in my own business when we consult a client where and how to position in press, event or on POS.
The second thing is that (at least in Croatia) you haven't had female-line T's. It is not crucial, but it pointed out and it was noticed.
If POS is dislocated from the area of the main event, the cheapest way to promote it is WOM and few A4 papers, some duct tape and marker - which would make a path to the POS.
I hope that my comment won't insult you and I hope that you'll be able to put together better POS and sell much more merch on next tour. If I can be of any help in Croatia, feel free to contact me. /I'm not selling my job, I mean as volunteer/ :)

Not our call. We had no say in the matter.

Not our call. We had no say in the matter.
As far as she was concerned she was selling/promoting Sabaton and their merch, not ours. (Hence my original post.)
It would be much better if it was on the left front side - considering spatial limitations - and also considering the fact it couldn't be/wasn't positioned in the middle.
Not our call. We had no say in the matter.

Like I said earlier, good points and this shows why. :)
The second thing is that (at least in Croatia) you haven't had female-line T's. It is not crucial, but it pointed out and it was noticed.
This was our fault. I thought we had brought girlies. I was wrong. I can't put the blame on those of us that did the work either because I didn't ask if they needed/wanted any help or my input.
If POS is dislocated from the area of the main event, the cheapest way to promote it is WOM and few A4 papers, some duct tape and marker - which would make a path to the POS.
This is another thing we could have done. In fact, it was done but not nearly enough. It was way too easy to miss.
I hope that my comment won't insult you and I hope that you'll be able to put together better POS and sell much more merch on next tour.
