...sounds like fun. Oh, and then I get to see your career as a producer come to an abrupt end. :)

I would prefer a progressive/power progressive sound but as I love your style and voice, it can be anything at all :)

Do what your soul tells you to do.
That way you know you have given your all, Just make sure ABBA will not be part of inspiration. LOL.

I´ve chosen metal. Not sure if it should be progressive or hard rock or anything like that.
Definitely not Rock- Pop!:excl:
I agree, a swing album would be fun...lol...but you have a great metal voice.

the song I like most with urban as singer is Bethlehems Stjärna but that isnt a song for his album so I like to hear a Metal/Rock genre album....much like a mix of Bob Catley and 80's metal :P
I only have two comment here the first is about over overelaboration.
I think that you sometimes try too much, in my opinion the results can sometimes become better with less complexity.
The second comment is about Urban goes main stream heavy metal. Yes, well I think you should think main stream heavy metal. The advanced and sometimes in my opinion obscure (saga etc...) music you listen to will not sell. Sure some albums will be sold but, I believe that you must look further. The music that you are about to produce need to give something to all. One need to face the fact that, Metallica, Maiden and so on do sell a lot of albums.
What I try to say is, if you try to go main stream heavy metal the result will not be main stream anyway. I think the result will become more interesting for the delicate listener and in the same time give pleasure to the more novice and/or main stream heavy metal listener (read Frod).
My ideas for this thread is therefore, go main stream, keep it simple and let the melodies and your delicate voice play an important role (you must have good genes :D ).
With love

I'd also like to chime in with my thoughts in hope that its somehow insightful or inspiring.
I'm 21 years old right now, and have spent most of my life listening to bands that had their glory days behind them. A lot of it was history, and all the line up changes, and all shit that occured to those bands were something that didn't really phase me. However, I discovered Tad Morose in its early stages, and I grew as the band grew. Honestly, they became one of those quintessential bands which influence and inspire you as you come of age. I hear a lot of older metal heads talk about things like this, one in particular is when Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy passed away, he felt that a bit of himself died.
With that said, while Urban Breed certainly hasn't died, it was tough for me to swallow his time with the band had. The chemistry and creativity of the music seemed like one of those symboitic things, where two elements come together to make harmony. Urbans singing and the rest of the bad as a whole. I really do love the music, but the ending parts of "Order Of The Seven Poles" shook the foundations of my body, and sent shivers down my spine thanks to Urban's power and conviction. Its the element that he(you) brought that truly can't be replaced.
While I love change, and I will definitely support both parties, I can't say i'm not torn at the thought of probably my biggest influences isn't as "immortal" and lives forever like we wish everything good could.
So I simply plead that Urban will do anything that lets him sing like he can sing. Well, Metal of course...but thats besides the point. Metal is the most powerful music, and Urban is its most powerful singer. Just make something which is true to you, and not look for a label and style, but rather forge your own when you think about the things what have influenced and inspired you the most. So rather than vote for a "style", I vote for a mood, "inspiring".
Good luck in whatever you do!
