I have now finished the installation...
so from now on you can all have a pet here on the forum...
here is the features of the system:
Home
The home displays your current items, living pets, and current point total. If you hover the mouse over your pet it will display some brief info such as health, hunger, level, and age. If you click on an individual pet it will display a more detailed full screen information page specific to the selected p3t, this is referred to as the p3tz profile. If you have no pets it briefly details how you can create one.
Pet Profiles
All sorts of pet things are displayed here: guilds, parents, age, health, hunger, moral, strength, defense, agility, wins, losses, level, experience, etc to name some stats!
Pet spells are also displayed here so you can see how strong a pet is at a certain spell.
Pet profiles are also the place to use items upon a pet. So your inventory is displayed with the option to use items.
P3tz
All pets are created in the Vet Area, below is a description of each category of pet.
P3tz Eggs
If you have a male and female pet and you are below the board limit you may select a mother and father out of your pets to create an egg. This evolution provides your board with the possibility for pets to increase stats through generations rather than just battling and training. Generations add a whole new level to P3tz!
Random parents selects parents from the existing pets, if you have mating turned on. If you don't, random will create a test tube pet. You can set how long eggs take to hatch through the ACP.
Test tube pets
You can choose to skip the Egg Hatching process by picking this option in the Vet menu. Color, name, type, and gender can be selected. The pet can be created immediately, but you don't have the option of choosing parents.
Market
The Market is where you go to buy anything for a pet that isn’t related to health, or spells. This includes food, moral boosters, kill items, and as an admin you can even make items that can change a pet's color, or change a pet's name. The items are ordered by cost once you create them from the admin menu. There is also an optional stock system for items and they can be used on pets from a p3tz profile or sold back to a market for a percentage of what the original price was. There is also a setting that allows items to be used on other member's pets.
Vet
The vet in P3tz is the place to go to heal your pets after battles, as well as to create new pets or to ‘put down’ a living pet. The heal items at the Vet are made the same way as the market items, through the ACP.
Arena
The arena is where you will be doing most of your fighting, in STYLE! There are a few short words to explain why: FLASH, AJAX ok if you don't understand them try: ANIMATED, INSTANT I should probably also mention the options for One on One, Free for All and Guild War. Sounds great? It is. Words cannot describe the arena. It's easy to use and Easy to control more than one battle pet and easy to create a battle. Warning pets can die in battle!
Gambling
If a battle is between round 1 and 5 you can bet on a pet. You can only bet on battles you are not participating in. Odds can be auto generated or set to 2:1. Users can bet as many times as they want on a battle, and their tickets will display in the gambling tickets bit. Losing tickets are deleted after a battle and winning tickets are flagged as ready for the owner to claim them. Guild Wars and training sessions can't be gambled on.
Training
If you want to get experience and level up your pet, but don’t want to ruin your reputation by losing battles, you will need train! Users create holo-petz, droids, bots, I went with the name hologram but you can change it in the phrases. The user creates a bot and selects the type and level. The level defines the difficulty. Other than the fact that wins/losses don’t count here, it is identical to the Arena except for the fact that you can only do one on one matches here, your pets can still die!
Spells
Spells can be used in battle. They are leveled from 1-100 and will do damage depending upon their damage and the level. Spells are animated in battle. There is a choice of five elements: fire, water, ice, thunder, and earth. There can be multiple spells of each element. EG: 10 different fire spells and 20 different ice spells. Spells have a use condition based upon MORAL whether a pet is good, evil or neutral. Spells also have a cast chance. So sometimes they won't even cast in battle!
Pet Shop
The pet shop is like an advertising space. You can put your pets up for adoption, at a price you set…or you can adopt a pet that someone else has offered. The pet is still yours to do with as you want until it is sold.
Kennels
In P3tz the kennels are where you send your pets when you need to take a leave of absence and won’t be able to care for them for a while. There is a daily fee associated with keeping your pet in the kennel, and also a removal fee once you return. This allows pets to be removed when ever the owner wants rather than on a predefined day. Pets in kennels can't be stolen, items can't be used upon them and they can't be battled. They won’t get hungry or die.
Graveyard
Dead pets can be remembered in the graveyard by purchasing a gravestone with a date of birth and death, as well as a little phrase if you choose to leave one. They can also be dragged from eternal bliss or pulled from eternal damnation. The resurrect feature can return loved pets. For a fee of course! The resurrect link can be found in a dead p3tz profile or the graveyard menu.
Top List
Displays eldest pets, pets with the most battle losses, pets with the best stats, and pets with the most battle wins. All optional in the ACP.
Guilds
Want to team up with other pets to take out rival Guilds? Well this is the way to do it. Users can create Guilds that will allow pets to apply to them, and upon approval of the application by the Guild owner the pet is let into the guild. Guilds have wins/losses for Guild wars.
Auction
The auction is used to trade pets and items. The seller can choose the item or pet, the number of days the listing will last (maximum set in ACP), the reserve, the instant buy price, and a short message. Bidders pay their bid when their bid is entered. When they are out bid their bid is returned. The seller recieves the winning bid minus tax (set in the ACP) when the auction is ended.
Steal Items
Items can be stolen from members with an admin setable item steal chance, an admin setable reputation fine and admin setable item steal points fine. The reputation fine is also the minimum required reputation to atempt to steal an item. The victim is alerted when an atempt is made using the P3tz Message System. The fines are only given when the steal fails. Steal can be disabled.
Steal P3tz
Pets can also be stolen from members with an admin setable steal chance, an admin setable reputation fine and admin setable steal points fine. The reputation fine is also the minimum required reputation to atempt to steal a pet. The victim is alerted when an atempt is made using the P3tz Message System. Like the steal item the fines are only given when the steal fails. Steal can be disabled.
P3tz Message System
The P3tz Message System displays both alerts and information messages to users on the P3tz Home. The messages are deleted when they are displayed to reduce database usage. They are used to display short notifications about steal atempts, kill atempts, when an auction ends, and when a pet is bought from the pet shop
