I'm playing The Cult, Sonic Temple at the moment.
It starts out really strong but about halfway through I lose interest...
My favorite track is American Horse but my strongest memory from seeing them opening for Aerosmith at Globen, Stockholm was when they started playing "Sun King". Well, the opening section is still mighty strong.
I wonder, did everything just fall apart for the Cult after that or did they get something done..? Are they still around?
Heh, if my memory serves me right it was on our way back home from that show that the driver fell asleep and I didn't bother waking him, instead I just grabbed the wheel and "drove" like that for about an hour and a half when eventually I had to wake him up since my arm was cramping and it was not adviseable to continue going straight ahead any longer. :)

I listened to some Howe era Metal Church yesterday. It reminded me of Breed era Tad Morose only they had a real singer (just joking Urban >:P~.) It was, of course "Blessing in Disguise." I have always wished this release would be remastered as it is only production quality away from being very near perfect. Great. great release and it is never far away from a player near me.

Yes, it was fun. Let's go see Europe and W.A.S.P. next time? :)
They are playing here pretty soon, I think.
Oops, I'm the master of getting off topic I think.

The Cult is still around... the played here in like October, but I couldn't get anyone to go with me.
They released an album a few years ago, 'Beyond Good and Evil' that I liked a bit--I don't know about anything more recent, but I think someone told me they did have a newer one out. Will have to pull BG&E out again soon and see if I ought to burn someone a copy. :)
As for WASP, I'll go with you! You just have to provide transport there. ;)

Did you hear anything, like, were they any good?
I would've if I'd had half a chance, and you know it... :(

...I'm googling it right now... :)

I could do that but that would mean Marillion is off... ...so, no ... W.A.S.P. can wait. Oh, and hey, wouldn't I have to convince your boss that you desperately need, and most definitely deserve, a few days off? ;)

Apparently the last proper studio release was indeed 'Beyond Good and Evil'. I found lots of interesting things to read, like things about 'The Doors' reunions and such. :) Not that I was ever big on the Doors. Quite the contrary.

Maybe that wasn't such a bad thing after all. Or what do you think? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77ah6o1XmO0&mode=related&search=) :)

I prefer the first album myself. ...and interestingly enough I normally skip the two with Jeff singing. I would like to point out that it's not because I don't like his singing but rather that I don't like the songs as much. :)
That said... "I am a Vi-i-king" :D
